April Fool's Day!

What is the most dangerous of all day to be going to school?
April Fool's Day!
You never know when someone's playing a trick on you. So you might think the easiest strategy would be to ignore whatever people tell you, right?
That's wrong. Maybe some of the stuff people tell you is true. So the best thing to do is to ignore the things people say that can't be true (for example, a joking kid saying they won't do anything for April Fool's Day) and listen to things that should be right.

The Other Math Day

If you have read the previous post, you know about some math days. But there are others.
Today, for example. Today is Count-By-3s Day: 3/6/09.
When we were walking to school, Shelley, my mom, and I were talking about today, the math day. Shelley said that March was a good month for math days.
March also brings a birthday in the family. My sister is turning 5. 5 times 5 equals 10. That could be another math day: 5/5/10. And just next year, too!
My little sister has a blog. To read it, click here.

Math Days

Happy Square Day! **
It's Square Day because the date is 3/3/09. And 3 times 3 = 09. *
More math days:
  • Pi Day, where the date is the first digits of pi (3.14159....)... on the day six years after Friday the 14th.

Any more? If you have an idea of another math day, you can comment on this post.

* Next Square Day is on 4/4/16.
** The math day names have been highlighted so you can find them easily.
